DIY Unstuck, Stop Squeaks: Padlock, Windows Tracks, Door Hinges
Remember a time when the padlock does not unlock smoothly, immediately thought, I will be locked out from the house! Or when the slider door squeaks and cringes every morning! Better yet, the door that squeaked every night before the baby was soundly put into the crib and he woke up, AGAIN! AND ONE FINE DAY, it all disappears! You are at peace.
PADLOCK

  1. Spray a good amount of WD-40® Multi-Use Product on each side of the unlatched lever, move clockwise and then anticlockwise to loosen rust-to-metal bonds and free stuck, frozen, or rusted metal parts.
  2. The lubricating properties of WD-40® will then keep these parts working freely.
  3. In addition, if you prefer the padlock to be free from oily residue, wipe away the access with a microfibre and spray a minute amount of WD-40 Specialist® Dry Lube onto the side of the lever.

Window/Slider Door

  1. Firstly, vacuum or wipe away existing dust and gunk on the tracks, if there is stubborn grime, spray a good amount of WD-40® Multi-Use Product to loosen surface attraction, enabling it to get under dirt, grime, caked grease and oil to clean the surface.
  2. After the tracks are cleaned, spray a good amount of WD-40 Specialist® Dry Lube onto the track.

Door Hinges

  1. Wipe away existing grime at door hinges if any.
  2. After the hinges are cleaned, spray a good amount of WD-40 Specialist® Dry Lube onto the hinges, open and close the door to allow lubricant to seep in.
  3. Voila, easy as that!

WD-40® Multi-Use Product

PENETRATES: WD-40®’s ultra-high surface attraction results in a super penetrating action that loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen, or rusted metal parts.
CLEAN: Its ultra-high surface attraction enables it to get under dirt, grime, caked grease and oil to clean the surface, and at the same time, forms a corrosion-resistant barrier.

WD-40 Specialist® Dry Lube

Contains PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) which delivers enhanced lubrication and protection, leaving a dry clear film that won’t attract dirt, dust and oil. It is best suited for use on metals, glass, vinyl, rubber and most plastics. Its dry clear film that helps protect parts also prevents grime build up on sprayed surfaces, making it the star product for woodworking environments as wood dust will not stick to any machines or tools.
