Fix squeaky piano lid hinges to play sweet melodies.
Things you will need
Pliers
Micro fiber cloth
Step 1
Spraying
Locate and remove the hinge pin in order to effectively lubricate the hinge.
Step 2
Preparing
Using pliers, grip the pin and rotate it counterclockwise gradually to pull it out.
Step 3
Cleaning
Use a paper towel or microfiber cloth to clean the grime, grease, rust from the plates and the pin.
Step 4
Protecting
Once clean, give it another coat of lubricant to protect from rusting.
Step 5
Re-Assembling
Assemble the hinge back, and open and close the piano lid to ensure the lubricant is seeped through any cracks.
Step 6
Spray & Clean
Spray another coat of lubricant on the hinge and wipe excess to finish.
