Rusting Metal

Things you will need

Step 1

Safety

Wear a pair of protective gloves to avoid cutting yourself with the rusted parts.

Step 2

Preparing

Pour a generous amount of WD-40 Specialist® Rust Remover Soak into a container large enough to hold your rusted tools.

Step 3

Soaking

Leave the tools to soak for a couple of hours (or overnight if the rust is too heavy) and you’ll be surprised by how the rust gradually dissolves away.

Step 4

Wiping

Once the rust is completely removed, take the tools out and wipe them down with a clean cloth and there you have it! Good as new.
