FIX IT CHALLENGE CRITERIA

Qualifying Criteria and Submission of Entries

Contest Period: 1 March 2022 till 31 March 2022 (11.59pm Singapore Local Time)

1. Create a genuine FIX-IT CHALLENGE submission using photo or video.

2. Go to https://fixitsg.wd40.asia, complete a registration form via Social Media or Email Sign Up.

3. Upload your FIX-IT CHALLENGE photo or video along with a short description.

4. The content of the FIX-IT CHALLENGE submission must clearly explain or demonstrate how a WD-40 product is being utilised, i.e. to solve a problem or fix any DIY issues. Additional criteria include, but are not limited to,




VIDEO CRITERIAS:

1. Contained WD-40 products utilized or applied at problem area(s).

2. WD-40 products used should be in compliance with its problem area(s), no misleading/misguidance of product usage intention.

3. Contain WD-40 product spray out action, if necessary.

4. Jingle/music utilized must be royalty free music, if any.

5. Resolution of video to be a minimum of Standard Definition of 640 x 480 pixel, preferable High Definition video of 1280 x 720 pixel.

6. Video produced must be authentic and original, created by participant for the problem area(s).

7. Video must be able to deliver the message of fixing problem area(s), best with description narrated by participant, if any.

8. Background of the video should not have the presence of another brand(s) or competing brand, whether or not there is any intention to promote such other brand(s).

9. Video will not be accepted if,
  • Created with photos montage of not real situations, ie stock images, copied images, etc.
  • Usage of the WD-40 in a sexual, abusive, racist, violent nature, or illegal usage of substance.
  • Usage of the WD-40 product is not in line with the approved usage as labelled, i.e. use of product as engine oil, or usage of product contrary to its approved usage.


PHOTOGRAPH CRITERIAS:

1. Contained WD-40 products utilized or applied at problem area(s).

2. WD-40 products used should be in compliance with its problem area(s), no misleading/misguidance of product usage intention.

3. Contain WD-40 product spray out action, if necessary.

4. Resolution of photograph to be a minimum of 600 x 600 pixel, 150dpi, preferable 1200 x 1200 pixel, 150dpi

5. Photograph captured must be authentic and original, created by participant for the problem area(s).

6. Photograph must be able to deliver the message of fixing problem area(s).

7. The background of the photograph should not have the presence of another brand(s) or competing brand, with obvious intention to promote said brand(s).

8. Photograph will not be accepted if,
  • Created with photos montage of not real situations, ie stock images, copied images, etc.
  • Usage of the WD-40 in a sexual, abusive, racist, violent nature, or illegal usage of substance.
  • Usage of the WD-40 product is not in line with the approved usage as labelled, i.e. use of product as engine oil, or usage of product contrary to its approved usage.
9. Content will be screened for any inappropriate images or context before being uploaded on https://fixitsg.wd40.asia. If submission is valid, a confirmation email will be sent.

10. ANY one of the WD-40 products is accepted in FIX-IT CHALLENGE submission, i.e. WD-40® Multi-Use Product (Classic Can, Smart Straw, EZ Reach) and WD-40 Specialist® (including Bike and Automotive) range.

11. Share the uploaded link with your friends, family or social networks in order to collect votes on https://fixitsg.wd40.asia.

12. Each participant may submit more than one [1] entry. Each completed entry shall be eligible to win a prize.

13. Participation in the contest is limited to one [1] per person (same last name, same first name, same email address) for the duration of the FIX-IT CHALLENGE.

14. During the campaign period, one account can vote for different videos, multiple times. Voting for each approved entry can be done via FIX-IT Campaign Page https://fixitsg.wd40.asia and WD-40 Singapore Facebook https://www.facebook.com/WD40SG. The total number of votes / likes collected for each entry at the end of campaign date will be determined as winners.

15. The Organizer reserves the right to verify that the winners participated in the FIX-IT CHALLENGE under conditions that comply with these rules on WD-40 Singapore "FIX-IT CHALLENGE": Terms & Conditions, non-compliant entries will result in the disqualification of the winner and the cancellation of his win.

16. Participation in the Contest implies for all Participants the full and unreserved acceptance of these rules on WD-40 Singapore "FIX-IT CHALLENGE": Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply with said rules will result in the automatic cancellation of participation and the possible allocation of prizes.

17. Participation in the Contest takes place exclusively on the internet on the dates indicated in Duration by connecting to the Contest site accessible, 24 hours a day at the following address https://fixitsg.wd40.asia subject to any maintenance operations on the site's servers.

18. The Organizer is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction or traffic congestion on the internet and / or telecommunication services.

19. Winner of each prize category will be selected at the discretion of the Organizer based on the number of votes collected. Winners will be announced on 8 April 2022, at WD-40 Singapore Facebook Page [https://www.facebook.com/WD40SG/] and Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/wd40singapore/].

20. Voting ends on 31 March 2022, 2359hr.


Contest Announcement and Communication Support


This “FIX-IT CHALLENGE” is accessible on the website, https://fixitsg.wd40.asia (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”). The “FIX-IT CHALLENGE” is advertised at the point of sale on all WD-40 products present in points of sale distributing WD-40 products in Singapore, via point-of-sale advertising, on-line via the contest https://fixitsg.wd40.asia and on the display advertising on Google, Facebook, Instagram.

Weekly Prizes & Winners Selection Process


1. There are total of 60 prizes: one [1] Latest Apple Iphone, one [1] Playstation 5, one [1] SecretLab chair, seven [7] $100 Challenger voucher and fifty [50] $20 Starbucks voucher to be won at the end of one [1] month Contest Period as categorized per below:

● 1st prize: iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB

● 2nd prize: Playstation 5

● 3rd Prize: Secretlab Chair (TITAN Evo 2022 Series)

● Consolation Prizes (7): $100 Challenger voucher

● First 50 videos submitted: $20 Decathlon voucher ["Participation Reward"]

2. The Contest is not a game of chance. Selection of winners will be at the sole discretion of the Organizer, and will be based on the following:

a. Only valid entries will be eligible to be selected.

b. All entries will be ranked according to the number of votes collected (for each period in each prize category). The entry with the highest number of votes will be selected as the 1st prize winner, the entry with the second highest number of votes will be selected as the 2nd prize winner … and the selection process will be repeated accordingly.

c. The first 50 videos submitted will be eligible for the Participation Reward.

3. Each participant is eligible to win a maximum of TWO [2] times throughout the Contest Period.

4. All the prizes mentioned in this article are non-transferable, non-transferable, non-modifiable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

5. Selected winners will need to collect their prize at our Singapore Marketing Distributor office – 81 Genting Lane #06-01 Singapore 349566.




By participating in the Contest, you consent to the Organizer and any of its holding, subsidiary, related or affiliated companies (including without limitation WD-40 Company or any related entities of WD-40 Company, service providers, agents and contractors who provide administrative and business support to us, supply us with products and act on our behalf (“Authorised Third parties”) to disclose and process your personal information provide in the entry form for purposes of the Contest. This includes disclosing your name, photographs and other personal information to the general public in any area of the world for advertising and publicity purposes when you become a winner in a contest or participate in our events by, without any compensation.


The Organizer may also use your personal information for purposes of contacting and sending to you marketing and promotional information or materials about our products, services, any promotions, events or contests organized by the Organizer.

In the event that you agree to share and disclose personal information of a person whom you intend to refer to the Organizer, you acknowledge that you have obtained the consent of that person to share and disclose his/her personal information to us and to being contacted by us.

In respect of minors or individuals not legally competent to give consent, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them and to consent on their behalf to the processing of their personal information in accordance with this privacy notice.

At times the Organizer may retain Authorised Third Parties to store or process your personal information. All such Authorised Third Parties are contractually bound to take reasonable measures to keep information secure and not to use your personal information in any way other than that which is specified here.

Please note the Organizer requires your personal information in order to process your participation in the Contest, without which we will not be able to process your application.
